The DIF Piacenza National Hub, located within the Le Mose Logistics Centre DC9, is one of the key nodes through which the Network coordinates food & beverage flows across Italy.
The facility integrates dedicated areas for fresh products at 0/+4°C, temperature-controlled products at +16/+18°C and frozen products at -20°C, allowing different logistics requirements to be managed within the same operational hub. Its location along the main transport corridors of Northern Italy supports the integration of inbound flows, hub operations and distribution across the territorial network. Within the DIF model, Piacenza connects infrastructure capacity, information flows and network companies to support operational continuity, flow control and effective management of the food supply chain.
DC9 is located within the Le Mose Logistics Centre in Piacenza, close to the intersection of two major motorway corridors: the A1 Milan–Naples and the A21 Turin–Piacenza–Brescia. This location supports connections between flows originating in Northern Italy and the main routes serving the rest of the country. The platform also provides access to the logistics centre’s intermodal infrastructure.
