The DIF Bologna National Hub, located within the Bentivoglio Interporto, is a logistics node dedicated to the management of high-turnover food & beverage flows. The facility combines 6,400 sq m of General Cargo space with 2,200 sq m of temperature-controlled space at 0/+4°C, in a configuration designed for cross-docking and the rapid handling of inbound and outbound flows. Its proximity to the main motorway corridors provides fast connections between Bologna, the other hubs within the Network and local distribution points. Within the DIF model, the Hub acts as a connection point between primary flows and local distribution, supporting operational continuity, fast transit times and control across the food supply chain.
The Bologna National Hub is connected to the main motorway corridors serving the area, including the A13 Bologna–Padua, A1 Milan–Naples and A14 Adriatic motorway. These routes provide rapid connections along both north–south and east–west corridors. Its location within the Interporto also provides access to rail and intermodal infrastructure.
The Bologna Hub is part of a broader distribution network built around hubs, transit points and local network companies. The map shows how the different nodes within the Network work together to support food & beverage distribution across Italy.
